On the brown sandstone cliff of White Mountain, 29 miles northwest of Thermopolis, Wyoming, is a world-renowned petroglyphic site called Legend Rock.
Many of the drawings were easily recognized as buffalo, elk, horses, teepees, human figures, and riders with head dresses.
While other drawings were hard to understand.
The Shoshone, Arapaho, and Ute tribes today hold this site sacred.
And just like these tribes hold their petroglyphics drawings sacred, we as Christians should hold the Scriptures which were also written long ago close to our hearts.
"Such things were written
in the Scriptures long ago
to teach us.
And the Scriptures
give us hope and encouragement
as we wait patiently
for God's promises to be fulfilled."
Romans 15:4 (NLT)
The Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God's promises to be fulfilled.
