Bigfork, Montana is a wonderful small town located at the mouth of Swan River.
The town has a population of only about 1,500 people.
The First Nations people known as the Salish first occupied the land,, and the name Bigfork is derived from the Salish name for the area.
Bigfork is surrounded by majestic mountains.
It hugs the sparkling blue bay of Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi.
Today, tourism and cherry orchards support the economy.
I love visiting new places and meeting new people. Jesus must have too because He told His disciples not to go back home, but to go on with Him to other towns as well, so they could share His love, miraculous power, and saving knowledge to people living else where.
"But Jesus replied,
'We must go on to other towns as well,
and I will preach to them, too.
That is why I came.'"
Mark 1:38 (NIV)
Everywhere Brian and I travel to we make friends, and hopefully leave a testimony of God's love and goodness.
