Many places in Scripture tell us as God's children to wait for the Lord. Throughout our lives, we will be tested to wait: wait for the answer to that long awaited prayer, wait for our loved ones to be saved, wait for God to bring us the right mate, wait for the job that will utilize our gifts and talents, wait for the doors to open for ministry, wait for healing to come to our bodies, and wait for the second coming of Christ. A person whose faith is strong and secure in God will wait with hope and expectancy, but a person whose faith is not yet strong will go ahead of God, take a different route, and possibly make a wrong decision. I know they will learn, just as I have had to learn, to wait for the Lord.
"Wait for the Lord;
be strong
and let your heart take courage.
Yes, wait for the Lord."
Psalm 27:14
