In the Bible, Jesus prays for His disciples asking His Father to make them holy by His truth and to teach them His Word.
"Make them holy by Your truth;
teach them Your Word,
which is truth."
John 17:17 (NLT)
This is my heart's desire for the children God gives me to teach.
Yesterday in church, I taught the children the story of Moses and the Ten Commandments. They learned more about who God is and how He wants us to live. They also had fun at the same time.
Afterwards, when I asked each child what he/she is thankful for, one girl gestured to me and said, "I am thankful for my teacher." My heart was instantly touched!
