The dark brown cattails of summer have now turned into fluffy down. The Indian name for cattail means, "fruit for papoose's bed" because this fluffy down was used by Native Americans to line papoose boards. It was also used to line moccasins and stuff dolls.
I always find it amazing to see how God in His infinite wisdom created plants that had so many practical uses other than just food. In creation, God really gave us everything we need.
"Every moving thing that lives
shall be food for you.
And as I gave you the green plants,
I give you everything."
