The One Thing I Ask And Seek Most

My four sons and I will be leading worship this Friday night and Saturday morning for the Children's Spring Retreat. We are all really looking forward to ministering to the children in Christian songs and worship towards God.

However, no matter how talented a musician, or how great a singer's voice is, without God's presence, nothing of any value can be accomplished.

The one thing each of us must ask of God, and the thing each of us must seek the most, is to live in the presence of God all the days of our lives, not just on certain days. When we seek God's presence, we delight in God's perfections, not our imperfections, and we meditate on the wonderful truths of His Word.

"The one thing I ask of the Lord — the thing I seek most —

is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,

delighting in the Lord's perfections

and meditating in His Temple."

The secret to having God's presence go with you wherever you go and whatever you do is focusing your mind and your heart on Him and all that He is.
