A Longing Fulfilled Is Sweet To The Soul

This twenty-four foot knight in shining armour stands majestically in Leavenworth, Washington, as a symbol of the talent God gave to a young boy, and of God's orchestration to fulfil this young boy's dream.

The artist and creator of the knight was born and raised in Mexico, but moved to Washington State with his parents when he was older. Since he was twelve years old, he has had a passion for art in metal and iron, and he dreamed of one day building a knight. His dream finally came true in 1990, when he went back to Mexico to the blacksmithing shop he worked in as a teenager and used the facilities and tools there to construct the knight. Once completed, he drove the knight all the way to Leavenworth on the top of his Nissan pickup. What a sight that must have been!

The knight drew so much attention to this man's talent that he was able to quit his job as a farm labourer and start his own business in a shop behind his house so he could continue to do the work he loves to do the most.
