This Sunday I will be teaching the children that the Christian walk is not necessarily about how strong we start or how fast we go, but how steady and faithful we are to God, not allowing the storms of life to cause us to stop, turn around, and go back. We must always keep our eyes on the finish line, where we know Jesus is waiting for us with open arms and the greatest amount of love in His heart. Like the Tortoise in the famous Aesop's fable of the Tortoise and the Hare, we must keep on going and win the race.
"Don't get tired of doing what is good,
don't get discouraged and give up . . ."
Galatians 6:9a (NLT)
