The Bible says when Goliath moved closer to David to attack him, David ran quickly to meet him.
"As the Philistine moved closer
to attack him,
David ran quickly toward the battle line
to meet him."
David had so much confidence in God's presence, power and protection, he ran to meet his attacker, even though his attacker was almost ten feet tall, armed with a heavy bronze javelin, and protected by a bronze helmet, a bronze coat of scale armor, bronze greaves on his legs, and a shield bearer.
David's armor was none. His weapon was a slingshot, and his age was a little more than a boy. But his faith in God was unbeatable!
