Every day while Brian and I were holidaying in Sanibel Island, we rode our bikes to Jerry's, which was a small mall with a court yard in the centre. In the court yard there were several large cages with a different kind of parrot inside each of them.
I loved sitting in the court yard watching and listening to these beautiful birds while we drank a smoothie, ate a sandwich, or took a break from a long bike ride. Here are pictures of some of them:
It is amazing how God made parrots with such a variety of colours and sizes.
There are apparently over 360 different species.
One thing these birds all had in common was their loud voice.
They loved using them to attract tourists!
We really don't need to be rich with money to be happy. God richly has given us all we need in this world for our enjoyment. Money is unreliable, but God is completely trustworthy. He will continue to reward us with the enjoyment of His creation.
"Teach those who are rich in this world
not to be proud
and not to trust in their money,
which is so unreliable.
Their trust should be in God,
who richly gives us all we need
for our enjoyment."
1 Timothy 6:17 (NLT)
