God Blessed Them

Fiddler Crabs lined a section of beach on Captivia Island. It is their mating season.

Fiddler Crabs are small and only live up to two years.

Their mouths are in the middle of their bodies.

If you look closely, there is an extreme difference in size between the left and right claws of the male Fiddler Crabs. To attract females and repel male rivals, the male Fiddler Crabs will wave their major claws.

'Then God said,
'Let the waters swarm with fish and other life. . . .
So God created great sea creatures
and every living thing that scurries and swarms in the water, . .
And God saw that it was good.
Then God blessed them,
saying, 'Be fruitful and multiply.
Let the fish fill the seas, . . .
