What Life Does Not Consist Of

"Then He said to them,
'Watch out!
Be on your guard
against all kinds of greed;
life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.'
Luke 12:15 (NIV)

We Brian and I arrived at our Maui rental accommodations late in the afternoon, we were very hungry, so we asked the caretaker, if there was a good restaurant close by we can eat at. He highly recommended Tuk Tuk Thai Food in a small village called Haiku.

When we first saw the anticipated restaurant, we both laughed out loud. It was an old school bus painted in a variety of bright colors.

Despite the appearance and location of the restaurant, the food was absolutely amazing! We ate there three times during the week we stayed in Maui. It was the best tasting food we ate in all of Maui!

While we ate at the hippy bus, wild roosters crowed, and roasters and hens roam the ground around us. I was in the greatest comfort and glory without an abundance of material possessions around me.
