Blessed With Every Spiritual Blessing in Christ

Christmas can be a difficult and depressing time for many: those who have recently lost loved ones, those who have rebellious or drug addicted children, those who are sick, those who have alcoholic family members, those who are divorced, and those with little money to spend. However, no matter what our earthly circumstances, as God's children, we are blessed with EVERY heavenly blessing in God our Father because of the wondrous birth of His Son Jesus Christ!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! We are chosen by Him, holy and blameless in His sight, loved and adopted by the King, pleasurable to Him, created for a purpose, and freely given His glorious grace.

"Praise be to the God

and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

who has blessed us in the heavenly realms

with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

For He chose us in Him

before the creation of the world

to be holy and blameless in His sight.

In love He predestined us for adoption

to sonship through Jesus Christ,

in accordance with His pleasure and will —

to the praise of His glorious grace,

which He has freely given us in

the One He loves."

Ephesians 1:3-6 (NIV)

In other words, as God's children, we can celebrate Christmas with joy and praise on our lips because we are so incredibly blessed. We are loved profoundly and steadfastly by the King and each of us is a cherished family member in His glorious Kingdom.
