LIft Up Your Eyes And See The Truth

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains —

where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

A young child who has been murdered or killed is now safe in the loving and comforting arms of his/her Heavenly Father where he/she will never again know pain or sorrow. If the parents of such a child turn their hearts and minds toward God, from whom their help will come, they will know this heartening truth.

The textbook on Darwin's theory of evolution will not comfort them, but God's Word will. Yoga classes will not be effective in relieving the stress of their heartache and subduing their unanswered questions, but God's Holy Spirit, the Comforter, will. A saint or a worshipped idol will not be able to give them hope, but liberal access to communication with God in prayer will.

But why then have we ceased morning prayer and Bible reading in our schools? Why have we prohibited our teachers from mentioning truths of the Christian faith in their classes, with serious repercussions if they even mention a single verse of the Bible? Why have we now implemented yoga, a practise of an ancient, false religion, in our children's school programs? Why have we forced our teachers to teach evolution as a fact, not a theory, and to completely ignore the creation story?

When tragedy strikes, people inwardly know where the answer lies, and if they listen to God's voice, they will be comforted. If they turn their hearts toward God, seek to know Him through His Word, and serve Him all their earthly days, then one day they will see their precious child again. They will know the truth, for the Truth is right there. And it's the only truth that will set them free.
