God Lavishes His Love On Us!

Outside one of the bakeries in Leavenworth, we found a young fir tree. It was dusted with snow, interwoven with red LED lights, and adorned with enormous pretzels. The pretzels were a treat the baker had made for the wild birds.

The instant I saw this tree, my heart was touched by the thoughtfulness and care of the townspeople for the wildlife God has created for us to enjoy.

Here is a picture of one of the birds pecking vigorously at one of the pretzels. What a lavish treat!

As I watched this bird, I thought, "This is how God treats us — He also lavishes His love on each one of us. That is how great His love is!"
