A Trustworthy Saying That Deserves Full Acceptance

The hardened heart that kills, tortures, or rapes is the same hardened heart that takes delight in the sentencing to death of a criminal, threatens and abuses a criminal's family members, and rejoices in the thought that a hated person will spend eternity in hell.

This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Jesus Christ wants to save even the worst of sinners. This is sometimes hard to understand, even for Christians, but it is the truth and the desire of God's heart. So should it be ours.

to save sinners —

of whom I am the worst."

All criminals should be punished according to the Law, but we shouldn't to be jubilant about it. Jesus Christ still desires to save them from the damnations of hell.
