God Richly Provides Us With Everything For Our Enjoyment

Out on the veranda of our Sedona log cabin there hung a red and yellow hummingbird feeder which continually attracted brightly coloured hummingbirds throughout the day. Once I counted as many as a dozen hummingbirds simultaneously surrounding the feeder. I have never seen so many hummingbirds in all my life! I didn't know Arizona is famous for their hummingbirds. There are apparently eighteen different species that live there. These birds were such a joy to watch in the early morning as Brian and I waited for our breakfast.

Hummingbirds are hard to catch on camera because they move so fast.

I managed to get a clear picture of this hummingbird in flight.

The owner of the bed-and-breakfast had to daily refill the hummingbird feeders, because otherwise the hummingbirds would have had no sugary liquid to feed on the next day.

Hummingbirds are truly one of God's precious jewels which we can freely enjoy!

"Command those
who are rich in this present world
not to be arrogant
nor to put their hope in wealth,
which is so uncertain,
but to put their hope in God,
who richly provides us
with everything for our enjoyment."
1 Timothy 6:17 (NIV)

We need to be careful not to put our pride and hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, instead of putting our hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. And hummingbirds are just a small part of what God has provided for us to enjoy,
