A Powerful Story

As soon as Samson's family heard that Samson had died, the Bible says his brothers and all of his father's family went down to the land of the Philistines to search through all the rubble and thousands of corps to find him. When they found Samson, his whole family brought him back and buried him near his father's tomb.

"Then his brothers

 and his father's whole family

went down to get him.

They brought him back

and buried him

 between Zorah and Eshtaol

in the tomb of Manoah his father."

Judges 16:31 (NIV)

Samson wasn't left to rot with the ungodly Philistines, even though he disgraced God, himself and his people. Instead, Samson's body was lovingly laid to rest with his deceased father. God was not the only one who forgave Samson, his whole family did also. The story of Samson is a powerful story, not because of a man's supernatural strength, but because of God's love and redeeming power.
