It Is Late And Time Is Running Out

We need to wake up. It is late and time is running out. Our salvation is drawing near. We must remove our filthy clothes and put on the shining armor of right living in obedience to God.

"This is all the more urgent,

for you know how late it is;

time is running out.

Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now

than when we first believed.

The night is almost gone;

the day of salvation will soon be here.

So remove your dark deeds

like dirty clothes,

and put on the shining armor of right living.

Because we belong to the day,

we must live decent lives for all to see.

Don't participate in the darkness

of wild parties and drunkenness, 

or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living,

or in quarreling and jealousy.

Instead, clothe yourself

with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.

And don't let yourself think about ways

to indulge your evil desires."

Romans 13:11-13 (NLT)

Many so-called Christians and pastors in our churches are in danger because of sexual immorality.

"The time is coming when everything 

that is covered up will be revealed,

and all that is secret 

will be made known to all.

Whatever you have said in the dark

will be heard in the light,

and what you have whispered behind closed doors 

will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!

'Dear friends, don't be afraid of those who want to kill the body;

they cannot do any more to you after that.

But I'll tell you whom to fear.

Fear God, who has the power to kill you

and then throw you into hell.

Yes, He's the One to fear.'"

If we continue to live in darkness and indulge in our evil desires, we need to be afraid.  God has the power to give both life and death.
