"But seek first the Kingdom of God
and His righteousness,
and all these things will be added to you."
Even though Judas Iscariot got to walk with Jesus, talk with Him, listen to His words, hear His voice, witness His miraculous power, feel His amazing love, and be in His beautiful presence, Judas chose another god over Jesus. Judas chose money.
"Even My close friend,
someone I trusted,
one who shared My bread,
has turned against Me."
Psalm 41:9 (NIV)
There are many Judas Iscariots today who know Jesus and portray outwardly they are followers of Christ, but inwardly they have another god. Nothing in our lives can be more important than God---not fame, money, power, self, another person, career or any worldly pleasure. God must be first and foremost in our hearts.
