To Whom Then Will You Liken Me?

This morning, Matthew and I hiked through the forest and climbed a hill. Unfortunately, despite our superlative tracking skills, we saw no wildlife. Nevertheless, I took some fascinating pictures.

At first it was cloudy. But just as we reached the peak, a patch of blue sky appeared.

On the way down, we saw some lichen!

"'To whom then will you liken me,
or to whom shall I be equal?'
says the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes on high,
and see who has created these things."
Isaiah 40:25-26a (NKJV)

Just before noon, the sun was clearly visible beyond the trees.

And then our hike ended because it was time for lunch.
