Rockslides, Floods, Tornados, And Forest Fires

On the fifth day of "Sky" VBS, the children will be learning the last Bible point: "No matter where you are, trust God!"

We can trust God anyplace, anytime, because God is always with us. He promises in His Word that He will never leave us. If you think you are all alone, you are not! God is there with you. If you are facing a giant who is a diabolical bully, trust God, He is all powerful and there right beside you. If a mountain is crumbling in front of you, if water is rising above your head, if wind is tunneling towards you, or if fire is blazing all around you, you have a real Hero you can call on to protect you.

The Bible verse that the leaders will be encouraging the children to learn on Day 5 is:

"Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid;
do not be discouraged,
for the Lord your God
will be with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

We never have to be afraid or discouraged because, wherever we go, God goes with us. We can always be strong and courageous with the Almighty and Omnipotent God by our side.

When my son Matthew and I went shopping for "Sky" VBS costumes, we came across some really cool items. Here is a picture of a few of them: goggles, leather pilot cap, and navigator bag.
