Raise An Eyebrow

The Bible says that, because the Gospel of Christ brings salvation to anyone who believes, we, as Christians, are not to be ashamed or embarrassed to speak up about what we know to be the truth in God's Word. Jesus died for everyone and it is His will that no one should perish. Therefore, when God gives us opportunities to speak on His behalf, we need to be bold and not afraid of rebuff. We will know when the time is right to speak because the Holy Spirit inside of us will stir us to action.

"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel,
because it is the power of God
that brings salvation
to everyone who believes."
Romans 1:16

The Bible also says that if we are ashamed of God and His Word, then Jesus, when He comes back to earth to take us with Him to Paradise, will be ashamed of us.

"If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words
in this adulterous and sinful generation,
the Son of Man will be ashamed of him
when He comes in His Father's glory with the holy angels."
Mark 8:38

Don't be afraid to raise an eyebrow when speaking on God's behalf. Stand up for what is fair, just, and righteous in this sexually immoral and sinful world. However, as you stand up for God through your words and actions, be sure to do it with love, gentleness, kindness, patience, and self-control.

It is also important to pray beforehand and ask God to give you the right words to say. God promises to guide your tongue and to give you wisdom that will stump your opponents — so much so that they will not be able to reply or refute you.

"I will give you the right words and such wisdom
that none of your opponents will be able to reply or refute you!"
Luke 21:15

Don't be timid. Pray, stand up, open your mouth, and raise an eyebrow. God will be with you if your heart is filled with love for Him and those around you.
