Eyes But Do Not See, Ears But Do Not Hear

Giraffes are the tallest animals in the world. The males can reach a height of six metres (twenty feet) and the females five metres (sixteen feet).

Giraffes have the longest tails of any land mammal. Their tails can grow to almost two-and-a-half metres (eight feet) in length, if you count the tuft of hair at the end.

A giraffe's heart is sixty-one centimeters (two feet) across and weighs over eleven kilograms (twenty-five pounds).

People have eyes, but many in this world do not see the majestic glory and power of God. People have ears, but many in this world do not hear His loving and gracious voice beckoning them to come near to Him.

"Hear this,
you foolish
and senseless people,
who have eyes
but do not see,
who have ears
but do not hear."
Jeremiah 5:21 (NIV)

God made the earth by His almighty power, founded the world by His infinite wisdom, and stretched out the heavens by His omnipotent understanding.

"He made the earth by His power,
He founded the world by His wisdom
and stretched out the heavens
by His understanding."
Jeremiah 51:15 (NIV)

God is, was, and is to come.

"'I am the Alpha and the Omega,'
says the Lord God,
'Who is,
and Who was,
and Who is to come,
the Almighty.'"
Revelations 1:8 (NIV)

Let us open our eyes and see God, and open our ears and hear Him.
