It is important to pray for others, as well as ourselves. It was when Job prayed for his unkind friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.
"After Job had prayed for his friends,
the Lord restored his fortunes
and gave him twice as much as he had before."
Job 42:10 (NLT)
Tomorrow the children are going to make prayer books to write down the prayer requests of the other children in church, so they can pray about those prayer requests during the week, as well as their own. God richly blesses us when we pray for others, especially when we pray for those who have treated us unkindly.
