After Jesus Christ ascended from earth into Heaven, all the believers met together in one place to wait for God to fill them with the power of His Holy Spirit.
Then it happened suddenly. The whole house was filled with a loud sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty wind, and what appeared to be like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. Everyone who was there was filled with God's mighty Holy Spirit.
"God raised Jesus from the dead,
and we are all witnesses of this.
Now He is exalted to the place of highest honor in Heaven,
at God's right hand.
And the Father, as He had promised,
gave Him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us,
just as you see and hear today."
Acts 2:32-33 (NLT)
The believers on the day of Pentecost did not feel the strength of the wind, nor the burn of the flames of fire. Instead, they felt the wonderful and amazing presence of the Lord Jesus Christ inside them.
