Come And Worship Him Only

The three most common complaints a pastor gets are: (1) the worship is too long; (2) the sermon is too long; and; (3) the music style is displeasing.

These complaints reveal the hearts of people, and God is not in their hearts. Instead other things have taken the place of God because they no longer desire to truly worship and serve Him.

Jesus answered,
"It is written:
'Worship the Lord your God
and serve Him only.'"
Luke 4:8 (NIV)

They do not bow down and knee before the Lord their Maker. They want others to bow down before them.

"Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker."
Psalm 95:6 (NIV)

They worship God falsely. They do not worship Him in the Spirit and in truth.

"God is spirit,
and His worshipers
must worship in the Spirit
and in truth."
John 4:24 (NIV)

If we truly love God, spending time in His presence at home or in church can never be too long. The music style and the surroundings becomes irrelevant.
