Focus On The Least, Not The Most

Many of today's churches are designed and operated to fulfill the will of man instead of the will of God.

"Be very careful, then, how you live —
not as unwise but as wise,
making the most of every opportunity,
because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be foolish,
but understand what the Lord's will is."
Ephesians 5:15-17 (NIV)

In these churches, money speaks and commands, and the leaders listen and obey — even when they know in their hearts it displeases God and goes against His Word. The god of these church leaders is money. They want growth to further their own kingdom, not God's. Their focus is on the those who have the most, instead of those who have the least, doing for themselves, rather than doing for God. In these churches, God is not in control; the affluent members of the congregation are.

"He will reply,
'Truly I tell you,
whatever you did not do
for one of the least of these,
you did not do for me.'"
Matthew 25:45 (NIV)

We need to keep our eyes on God!
