God Stirs Up The Nest

An empty eagle's nest in Bigfork, Montana

"He found him in a desert land,
and in the howling waste of a wilderness;
He encircled him, He cared for him,
He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.
Like an eagle that stirs up its nest,
that hovers over its young,
He spread His wings and caught them,
He carried them on His pinions."
Deuteronomy 32:10-11 (NIV)

The Bible depicts God's care for us like an eagle cares for her young. Jesus Christ bore our sins in His own body on the Cross. He stirs up the nest so that we will leave Satan's bondage, and be free to soar above the world and the things of it.
