In the Bible, Daniel refused to do bow down to man when he was asked to do something that would go against his relationship with God.
"So the king gave the order,
and they brought Daniel
and threw him into the lions' den.
The king said to Daniel,
'May your God,
whom you serve continually,
rescue you!'"
Daniel 6:16 (NIV)
Like Daniel, we are to serve God continually. If we are faithful in serving God, God will be faithful to us and meet all our needs, even closing the mouths of hungry lions.
