Take Refuge

Chattering in a tree in the forests of Whitefish Montana was a brown-black squirrel. A black or brown-black squirrel is a melanistic variety of the Eastern Grey Squirrel.

Apparently, these darker squirrels are much more tolerant to the cold than greys.

The forest is a squirrel's refuge. The squirrel is glad. Our refuge is God. Let us too be glad and rejoice for God spreads His protection over us. We just have to love Him.

"But let all who take refuge in You be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread Your protection over them
that those who love Your Name
may rejoice in You."
Psalm 5:11 (NIV)
