"But those who fail to develop in this way
are shortsighted or blind,
forgetting that they have been cleansed
from their old sins."
2 Peter 1:9 (NLT)
Those who profess to know Christ Jesus in words, but not in actions are just as shortsighted and blind as the world. They forget that they have been cleansed from their old sins, and given by God, not only His grace, but His divine power to live a life of faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity.
