Yesterday I was disheartened because I was hoping families with children who lived in the vicinity of the church would come to the outdoor barbecue at the church's parking lot. I had activity booklets, packages of crayons and Canada Day buttons to give out to all the children, but disappointingly no one in the neighbourhood came.
However, this morning I went to the Scriptures and my hope was renewed.
The Lord is my portion. I will always have hope in Him.
"'The Lord is my portion,'
says my soul.
'Therefore I have hope in Him.'"
