Look At The Lilies And How They Grow

The lilies I grew along side my house in memory of my late grandfather are blooming in their full array. Unfortunately, they only bloom for a few weeks. Then they are gone. My grandfather loved lilies, but I don't think he knew that God talked about his favourite flowers in the Bible.

God uses lilies as a reminder to us that if He cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, He will certainly care for us.

"Look at the lilies and how they grow.
They don't work or make their clothing,
yet Solomon in all his glory
was not dressed as beautifully as they are.
And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers
that are here today
and thrown into the fire tomorrow,
He will certainly care for you.
Why do you have so little faith?
And don't be concerned about
what to eat and what to drink.
Don't worry about such things.
These things dominated the thoughts
of unbelievers all over the world,
but your Father already knows your needs."
Luke 12:27-30 (NLT)

We never have to be concerned or worried about any of the things of this world because our Father in Heaven already knows all our needs.
