Danced In The Morning and Died In The Evening

In the morning, the Israelites gathered around their golden calf to sacrifice burnt offerings and peace offerings. Then they danced, feasted and drank in their disobedience.

"The people got up early the next morning
to sacrifice burnt offerings
and peace offerings.
After this, they celebrated
with feasting and drinking,
and they indulged in pagan revelry."
Exodus 32:6 (NLT)

In the morning the Israelites were joyously celebrating their sin, but by nightfall they were dying because of it. Sin may be fun for a while, but in the end it only leads to death and destruction, and pain and sorrow.
