Saved By Declaring, Believing, And Professing

Salvation is a gift from God that we must accept by faith. It is not gained merely by desiring it or by putting effort into doing good works.

"It does not, therefore,
depend on human desire or effort,
but on God's mercy."
Romans 9:16 (NIV)

We are saved only by the grace of God and therefore we boast only in God, not ourselves.

"For it is by grace
you have been saved,
through faith —
and this is not from yourselves,
it is the gift of God —
not by works,
so that no one can boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

Salvation is a declaration and a heartfelt belief. It is a profession where we sincerely and earnestly give our allegiance to God our King and live according to His Guidebook, the Bible.

"If you declare with your mouth,
'Jesus is Lord,'
and believe in you heart
that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved.
For it is with your heart
that you believe
and are justified,
and it is with your mouth
that you profess your faith
and are saved."
Romans 10:9-10 (NIV)
