They Are Not Worth Comparing

Sadly, in this world we will all face troubles: our hearts will be broken, our spirits crushed, our dreams shattered, and our bodies afflicted with pain and old age. But as God's children, we can be encouraged and comforted in knowing that Jesus Christ has overcome the world with all its suffering.

"In this world

you will have trouble.

But take heart!

I have overcome the world."

God has swallowed up death forever for those who have put their faith in Him. One day our tears will never again flow down our faces and neither will we feel the disgrace of our sins. God has spoken and we now have redemption and the promise of eternal life through Christ Jesus.

"He will swallow up death forever.

The Sovereign Lord

will wipe away the tears from all faces;

He will remove His people's disgrace

from all the earth.

Our present sufferings are not worth comparing when we think about the glory that will be revealed to us in Heaven where we will be with our Lord and Saviour forever.
